Phil is the reason High5 Labs infrastructure is boring, and boring is the highest compliment infrastructure can receive. Under his watch the stack has remained small enough to fit on an index card, and the index card has remained mostly margin.

His formal title is Chief Technology Officer. His informal title is “the person who asks what happens when this fails,” a question for which he has never once been thanked in the moment and always been thanked eventually.
