Footman
A keyboard launcher for the Mac.
A footman opens the door, carries the thing, and does not make conversation about it. This one sits behind a hotkey, launches apps, finds files, keeps your clipboard, and runs the Alfred workflows you already wrote.

What it does
One window, most of your Mac
- Launch and find. Apps, files, System Settings panes, bookmarks, open browser tabs, and the menu bar of the app in front.
- Clipboard history. Text, images and files, searchable, kept as long as you like. Anything an app flags as a password is not written down at all.
- Your Alfred workflows. The actual bundles, unmodified. The first time a workflow would run a script, Footman shows you the script and waits. Nothing runs on import.
- Windows. Halves, thirds, quarters, maximize, center and the next display, with Snap Back to put a window where it was.
- Snippets, math and conversions. Type a snippet’s name and Return puts it on the clipboard. Arithmetic as you type, and units across length, mass, volume, temperature, data and time.
- Act on the selection.

Why it exists
Bought once, kept as long as you like
Footman is one purchase: no subscription, no account and no telemetry, and it works with the network off. The free version does not expire. A license adds the clipboard, snippets, windows, folder sync and Alfred workflows.
AI stays out of the way until you add a key of your own, from Anthropic, OpenAI or Google, or point it at a model running on your Mac.
