Barber first, and everything follows
- Barber first. Pick a name, or let First Available find whoever opens soonest and spread the load fairly across the shop instead of piling it on the fastest hand.
- Availability that is actually true. Posted hours, each barber’s own schedule, and the existing book all combine live. No slot is ever offered twice.
- One book for the whole shop. Every chair, one day, one screen. Staff see exactly what clients booked, updated the moment it happens.
- A storefront per shop. Hours, address, and a Book Now button on the shop’s own page at its own address, not a listing inside somebody else’s marketplace.
- It talks to Operator. The receptionist and the book share a shop, a staff list, a service list and an appointment shape, so a booking made by phone and a booking made online are the same kind of thing.
Why it exists
The question clients actually have
Almost every booking product opens with “what service do you want?” and then “what time?”, and offers you a barber at the end if it offers one at all. That order is built for a business where the staff are interchangeable, like an oil change.
In a barbershop the staff are the product. A client who is loyal to one chair has to guess a time, get pushed through two screens, and find out at the end that the person they came for is booked. Enough of those and they stop using the website and call the shop, which is how a booking product quietly fails while looking fully deployed.
